Men’s Breakfast with the Men of Archangel Gabriel Parish

What a blessed morning we had this morning at our Brotherhood of St. Benedict Men’s Breakfast.

It was especially a blessing to welcome our brothers in Christ from Archangel Gabriel Orthodox Church in Weatherford, TX. We gathered, prayed, and had a wonderful time of fellowship over a delightful breakfast together.

We heard a chapter from the Rule of St. Benedict, then listened to a reading from St. Gregory the Great’s writing on St. Benedict. From there, we discussed how we might accomplish joint activities between the men of these two Parishes. Many great ideas fell into the following three categories:

• Big group gatherings, such as men’s retreats, for our spiritual growth and edification
• Ways we can work together to meet the needs of the many, experience Christ in doing so, and enjoy the joy of Christ together as He ministers through us
• Common interest smaller group activities where we may enjoy life in Christ together

May Christ share His mind with us and guide us to such ends.
